BlizzardEntertainment tasked I Want It Yesterday to find a suitable local creator & create short-form videos to bring the Saga to life in a way that builds familiarity and drives play across global social channels and the WoW Launcher. We started with design, not content. If the World didn’t feel authentic in-frame, our storytelling wouldn’t land with loyal WoW audiences.
As a World of Warcraft player and long-time streamer, creator Lavender Baj was selected to bring her knowledge and charisma to the project, bringing instant credibility and a natural connection to the storytelling formats. The video series was designed to live natively, across a host of social platforms and the WoW Launcher.
Each version was considered based on how audiences actually consume, scroll and engage with content on each platform. We developed custom motion graphics to assist the storytelling, whilst platform-specific thumbnails andmulti-language captions ensured the content was accessible, consistent and scalable across global markets.
The set transformed World of Warcraft from a digital universe to a physical, immersive and believable experience on camera. Every decision was made to ensure the World felt authentic the moment it hit screen. Colour, Materials and Props were carefully layered to build depth and meaning. A darker palette with magical contrasts reflected the tone of World of Warcraft: Midnight edition, whilst textures like wood, brass and fabric grounded the World. Every object was intentional, reinforcing lore and adding visual context to every frame.
